Desire Learning Objective

This course will help you to:

  •   Test,adjust and troubleshoot generators, frequency and voltage
       
    regulators faults.
  •   Compute power factor and discover the impacts of reactive loading  on the engine
       and generator.
  •   Compute load and power distribution as needed 
  •   Perform panel termination and synchronization
  •  Carry out preventive maintenance on generators.

 

Instructional Techniques

We impart knowledge and Practical Training in following way:

Theoretical knowledge:                                                                         One (01) hour daily           (25%)

Hands on Training:                                                                                     Six (06) hour daily              (65%)

Mechanical Drawing and blueprints

  •          Fundamental drafting and sketching skills
  •          Freehand drawing of simple machine components

Basic Electricity

  •          Learn Electrical units and their measurement
  •          Conductors and insulators
  •          Electrical sources and loads
  •          Circuit diagrams
  •          DC and AC circuits
  •          Resistors, capacitors, and coils
  •          Equipment grounding and ground fault

Low and medium Voltage Safety

  •          International Electric Code and safety standards
  •          Safe work practices for 600 volts to 15000 volts.
  •          Accurate use of personal protective equipment.

Power Generation & Maintenance

  •          Principles of power generation
  •          Daily power usage
  •          Maintenance and upkeep backup power systems.
  •          Basic troubleshooting.

Electrical Machines and Power Distribution

  •          DC and AC equipments
  •          Electrical Load Computation
  •          Power distribution and control systems
  •          Synchronizing panels

Instrumentation and Control Systems
